New data shows hospital security guards are getting injured at an alarming rate
In 2022, the B.C. government created a new class of hospital security guard in response to high profile assaults against nurses and health care staff. But new data obtained by CBC News suggests the employees meant to keep hospitals safe are themselves being injured at a concerning rate. CBC's Katie DeRosa spoke to three hospital security guards about the risks they face.
